Can we talk about the fact that when Evie accidentally took a whiff of the exhaust from the steam engine she snidely commented “Ugh. Smells like Jacob’s cooking…”

Do you know what this means?

This means that Jacob had tried or still tries to make actual meals and it comes out like burnt coal

Imagine Evie coming back in horror of the kitchen on fire and Jacob standing there smugly showing her his handiwork and saying, “All in all, I’d say a job well done”

And the way she says it - it means that Jacob STILL tries. Lol

Okay now theres also a chance that she is teaching him how to cook as well.
